Hello and welcome to Zbrush Camp.

In this post I am going to talk about what the Introduction to Zbrush Course will be all about. Whether you are new or experienced with Zbrush then you have definitely come to the right place.

Introduction to Zbrush is a ten week course designed for beginner and intermediate students. It is a ten week course that will provide you with a solid foundation in digital sculpting techniques. You are not required to have anything for the course, although it is recommended that you have a pen tablet. The course will be very Zbrush centric, but we will briefly look at other software like Maya and Photoshop and how they can aid us in the process.

There will be weekly posts from the instructor in video format that can be viewed online. These lectures will cover in class material that will help to solidify the lessons and help to refresh your memory. Students will be able to post their work on the forum to show their progress, and also give and revive critiques to help improve and develop. If you are currently working or in a full time course the homework will still be manageable it wont require a ton of homework but obviously the more time you can put in the better. If you currently taking the 3d animation course at Pixel Blue you can gear you work in this class for use on your final demo reel project.

The goal of the course will be for the students to come out with something they can show off. The final project will be to develop a character sheet like the ones below, as well as a quick turntable movie.
